Conduct an energy audit of your home
The perfect place to start your journey towards lowering your carbon footprint. Home Energy Score is a program where you can talk to a professional in the building industry who will give you a score on a scale of 1 to 10 that indicates your homes efficiency. With your score you receive a custom recommendation report to help you prioritize you’re upgrades and plan for improvements.
Marin homeowners can now review financial incentives and no-cost assistance
if they are planning home energy efficient improvements. Bay Area Regional
Energy Network (BayREN) provides you with an energy advisor to assist in
answering all your questions regarding your home’s energy use, the rebate
programs in your area, finding the right contractor, financing programs and
more.
California is always prone to dry conditions, and we all need to learn how to use less water. Check with your water district to see the current rebate offerings, and when it comes to purchasing appliances, always look for the WaterSense label.

Find out if your eligible for the rebates
Through the Electrify Marin program all homeowners can receive financial incentives for switching gas and propane appliances to efficient electric-powered models. Electric appliances powered by renewable energy will not produce greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change unlike gas-burning appliances.
MCE clean energy gives you the means to ensure the electricity you purchase is sourced 100% from renewable energy. This is one of the easiest ways to lower your carbon footprint.
Receive federal tax credits, state and local rebates
Getting a solar system on your roof is beneficial for so many reasons. If you have the roof space, solar can help you reduce (maybe eliminate) your electricity bills, help avoid rising energy costs, increase the property value of your home and earn a great ROI. Plus, A typical residential solar panel system can eliminate three to four tons of carbon emissions each year.
